One of the most important responsibilities of pharmaceutical companies is to assure the quality and effectiveness of produced medicines, which requires precious and continues monitoring of all the steps from suppling raw materials till store final product in warehouses. Due to the special attention of the company’s management to completely implementation on quality principles, social responsibilities and patients’ rights, the quality control laboratory of Shifa Pharmed Pharmaceutical Company absorbing experienced employees to control quality and quantity of finished or active ingredients products by modern devices based on US, EP and BP standards and guidelines. Also, in order to implement customer oriented culture and to reach the best products quality, this department provides comprehensive measurement and monitoring of steps from raw materials selection, In process quality control (IPQC) and the final product. To reach this purpose, it has different parts including Physicochemical laboratory, Analysis laboratory, Microbial laboratory, strain and cell bank. Employees by master and doctorate degree in different field of science are active in this department and use Atomic absorption, HPLC, GC, Particle counter, FTIR, Spectrophotometer, KF, TLC scanner, IC and other equipment’s in order to evaluate raw material quality, stability studies, IPQC, quality of finished product, packaging and quality of water treatment system.
The QC department approach and commitment in Shifa group, is continuous monitoring and control of quality, results to product quality as main concern for employee.
